BELIEVE IT OR NOT, that cigar box is the first mixing board used by the radio station you know today as the mighty KALX. Back in 1962, it was just Radio KAL, which broadcast from Ehrman Hall to UC Berkeley’s dormitories through wires stretched across campus.
