Two new species and one new variety of the genus Cheilolejeunea are described from tropical America: Cheilolejeunea longiangulata from Amazonas (Brazil), Cheilolejeunea microstipulata from Bahia, Ceará, Pará (Brazil), and Guaviare (Colombia), and Cheilolejeunea rigidula var.
